School club lets kids taste the good life as a lure to achieve it (Ventura County Star)

Hector Lopez's eyes swept upward as he admired the broad staircase in the lobby of the Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Hotel. He and 14 other middle school students were at the Oxnard resort to enjoy an elegant dinner complete with multiple forks, linen tablecloths and floral centerpieces. "I wish I could come here all the time!" the 13-year-old said.
